TurboBudget is our own consumer product: a budgeting and debt-payoff app at turbobudget.app. Users connect their bank (read-only, via Plaid), and the app sorts the spending, holds the budgets, tracks net worth, and keeps recurring bills honest.
The interesting part: AI you can ask
We integrated OpenAI so users can ask plain-language questions about their own money — “what did I spend on restaurants in June?”, “anything unusual this month?” — and get answers computed from their real transactions, not generic advice. The same engine surfaces proactive insights: over-budget alerts, savings wins, and a forecast for the month ahead.
What was built
Everything: the marketing site, the app itself (bank sync, budgeting engine, net-worth tracking, month-over-month comparisons), the AI insights layer, and the billing. Dark-mode product design end to end, and the marketing site scores a perfect 100 for performance in Lighthouse with a 0.5-second paint.
Why it’s in a web design portfolio
Because it’s proof of range. The same team that builds a fence company’s lead-gen site also ships consumer software with bank integrations and AI — which is why a small-business site from us comes with product-grade engineering habits: fast, measured, and built to convert.
