Process
From First Call to Launch, Step by Step
The ten steps
- 1
Initial conversation
Day 0 · 20–30 minutes
A call or a form. What you do, who you serve, what a good month looks like, and what the website has to make happen. No slide deck, no discovery workshop invoice.
- 2
Scope and quote
Same day, usually
You get a written scope — pages, features, what is included, what is not — and one flat price. Nothing starts until you approve it. Half the fee is due to begin.
- 3
Content collection
Days 1–7 · your part
A short checklist: logo files, photos, services, hours, service areas, anything you want said a specific way. This is the step that decides whether a project runs on time.
- 4
Design direction
Week 1
You see the real homepage in the browser, not a static mockup of a page that behaves differently once built. You react to it, we adjust before the rest is built on top.
- 5
Development
Weeks 1–2
The rest of the pages get built, the copy gets written, forms get wired up, and the Google Business Profile gets aligned if that is in scope. You get a live preview link throughout.
- 6
Review and revisions
Week 2–3
You mark up anything you want changed. Two rounds are included in every package. Round one is the big pass; round two is the polish.
- 7
Testing
Before launch
Phones and desktop, keyboard-only navigation, every form submitted for real, every link followed, page speed measured, and a crawler-eye check that the content is actually in the HTML.
- 8
Launch
Launch day
We point your domain, install the SSL certificate, submit the sitemap to Google Search Console, and set up analytics and conversion tracking so leads are countable from day one.
- 9
Training
Launch week · 15–30 minutes
A walkthrough of how to post to your Google Business Profile, where your leads arrive, and how to read the analytics. Recorded if you want to send it to someone else.
- 10
Post-launch support
Ongoing
Thirty days of fixes for anything that is not right, free. After that, edits are on-demand or covered by the optional Care Plan.

Process questions
How long does a project actually take?
Launch Page: about a week. Business Site: 2 to 3 weeks. Grand Opening Kit: 2 to 3 weeks, signage-led, because signage production and installation set the pace, not the website. Those clocks start when the content checklist comes back, not when the deposit clears.
What causes delays?
Almost always one of three things: photos that never arrive, feedback that goes quiet for two weeks, or a change of direction after the design was approved. None of them are billed as delays — the project simply waits. If something on your side has slipped, tell us and we will reschedule rather than chase you.
How many revision rounds do I get?
Two, included in every package. A round means you collect everything you want changed and send it in one pass. Endless one-at-a-time tweaks are what turn a three-week project into a three-month one, so we ask for them batched. If a third round is genuinely needed, we quote it flat before doing it.
Who owns the site at the end?
You do — the domain, the files, the content, and the analytics account. At handoff you choose: take the files and host them yourself, with our help setting it up, free; or leave it on the optional Care Plan. Either way there is no lock-in and no exit fee.
What happens after launch?
Thirty days of free fixes for anything that is not working as agreed. After that, small edits are billed on demand or covered by the Care Plan, which also handles hosting, SSL, backups, updates and uptime monitoring.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You never have to touch code, hosting, or DNS. The only technical thing we ask is that you have access to your domain registrar account, and if you do not, we help you recover it.
